If it took the FBI almost 6 months to go through the remaining 30K of Hillary's email before, how the fek could they go through 650K of the ones on Anthony Weiners computer in less than 2 weeks and even if the 31k missing emails were on his computer just means that they had 590 new emails to go through?

Now, according to the WSJ, it appears that Federal agents are preparing to scour roughly 650,000 emails that, as we reported moments ago were discovered weeks ago on the laptop of Anthony Weiner, to see how many relate to a prior probe of Hillary Clinton's email use, as metadata on the device suggests there may be thousands sent to or from the private server that the Democratic nominee used while she was secretary of state, according to people familiar with the matter.

Facing criticism earlier this year for exclusively using a private server during her time as secretary of state, Clinton handed over 30,000 work-related emails for the State Department to make public. She also deleted 31,000 emails that she says were personal.?

Anyone else think the quality of this latest investigation is suspect?

From what I've read, a lot of the new emails were duplicates which makes sense if what someone else posted in the election thread, that they got onto Weiner's computer because of iCLoud sync or something like that.

If the numbers are anywhere near accurate then 590K weren't duplicates which is why I asked the question.

Cuz they were looking thru Weenie's email for ones that came or went to Hillary. It's called "grep" and might take all day to pick out those.
You think the dork was so important he exchanged emails with the Sec of State 650,000 times?

The funny thing here is that the Federal Judge on the Weiner case is saying that since the FBI says the Weiner emails are not privileged communications for Hillary then he sees no reason not to make them available to the public.

    Perhaps even later today.

Fair enough but that doesn't explain why it took them so long to do 30K of the original emails on her server and it took them less than 2 weeks to do the 31K's that might have been on the perv's computer. ROTFL

They didn't say how many related to Hillary. And now they know what they're looking for.

Shit any sane person would block anyone who sent you 30,000 emails. I'd block my damn boss if he sent more than a couple a day. Even a few women who tried that shit with emails and texts on the ex list.

Pretty sure that an outfit with as much money as the FBI has an office that's capable of doing the proper kind of keyword searches to sift through that amount of data fairly quickly. It's not like they ran them all off on a 1960's era mimeograph and went through each one page by page. Christ, if they're like any other office e-mails the first five printed pages would just be the names of everyone the damn things were CC'd to.

I think it was something like this.

Nope. I've done investigations similar to that. Having 650,000 emails on a laptop kind of surprised me, but they would be fairly quick to sort out. Eliminate all emails where her address appears in the cc: or bcc: fields, or where it appears in a group in the to: field.

Those emails weren't meant for her specifically. And the same for her husband. Eliminate all the 'male enhancement' emails that you just know he gets, and you'd be down to a reasonable number. Eliminate known emails from Clinton server, and you pass those to 100 agents and they'd read them all in a couple days. You wouldn't have to worry so much about classification as with Clinton.

All of which should have been done before the FBI said shit about the investigation.
