"Security" over kids eating, that's an easy choice, right?
No wonder our allies don't trust us...
Hopefully the renegotiated NAFTA will help improve economic conditions in GTA and the kids will do better as a result.

Haha. Yeah right. Canada sends covert operative into major corporations like IBM, spread hatred and attempt to create interest in a union, and you think Canada is going to be granted a better place when NAFTA is renegotiated?
Any nation in a trade agreement has to abide by basic premises and Human Rights, violating these premises is a benefit to those violating as long as they don't get caught. If you get caught, you had better make it right, if not, you will pay a price.
As an example, I recently received a detailed response from one of the key individuals (and nations) negotiating CETA, with hand written details on the letter and their personal signature. It gave me a sense of accomplishment knowing that other nations are listening, as it turned out, the entire ICS issue was one I raised, not as a desire to be against such provisions, but to expand it so that whistleblowers like myself, who are speaking the truth and been punished mercilessly for doing so, will have a voice in exposing Canadian abuses.
The ICS is going to be altered and actively negotiated per the agreement signed, I will keep pushing for my voice to be heard; and I am a BIG free trade proponent, in it's pure and honest form. One thing about me, when you've been squeezed and terrorized as we have, you have nothing to lose, I would pick up the phone today and speak to the President without batting an eye, truth is truth and one should never be ashamed of it (as Canada is). It's been a force of strength for me.
I heard Trump talk many times of nations taking advantage of America, including in trade agreements. My guess is he gets it far better than most, he is quite accurate on this opinion though probably not extensively informed. Quite honestly, even before he was elected America was starting to get it, a decrease in technology investment in Ontario even as the taxpayer often provides welfare to these corporations, a large 1.1% decrease in exports from Canada to America, even as oil prices were much cheaper.
I would love to see Canada do the right thing, in the meantime, my wife and I will continue to place our personal items on Kajiji so we can eat. I will have alot of company in this regard I imagine soon enough...
